Inspired by the need for a softer, more comfortable backstay design to eliminate calf pain. Adding gel cushions a common pressure point on the back of the calf. The asym shape is contoured to fit lower female calf muscles. Originally designed as a women’s-specific feaure for the high end Supreme boot, the gel backstay construction was quickly adopted for the men’s boots as well.
