Staff Picks of the Week: January 13
Maybe people are feeling more productive because it's the start of a new year, but we were especially impressed by the high volume of solid projects posted by the Coroflot community this week. Each of the five projects featured below shows a strong clarity of vision and an ability to transform that vision into a fully fleshed out design. Every one of these designers have demonstrated their high level of skill and pure creativity here - two things we love to see.
Dewayne demonstrates a superb combination of traditional and modern in functionality and materials. We love to see historically tested and proven design combined with innovation.
This is incredibly clever branding, showing how a simple die cut can create a delightful spin on packaging design. The work is tight and the simple typography is lovely and playful, getting us excited about this high-end honey.
Montaro MTB Helmet by David Thompson
Here's a beautiful example of the Industrial Design process, including sketching, digital modeling, and physical prototyping, all executed with technical prowess. We love it when designers take us behind the scenes and show us how it's done.
Vas: Modular Vertical Planter by Morgan Matt
Morgan takes a lively eco-friendly approach to the wall planter that is simultaneously modern and organic. As cities grow and it becomes clear we will be living in an increasingly urbanized landscape, it is more important than ever for innovative designers to give us ways to add greenery to smaller spaces.
Du hast das Wort, Schatzchen! by Iris Luckhaus
The retro style illustrations that are well researched and carry the style through to the smallest detail. Expressive and fun vector illustrations that pop make this an engaging project even if you don't speak the language.
