Staff Picks of the Week: May 26, 2017
The five projects that stood out the most to the Coroflot team this week are all completely different. What we love about all of them is the way each designer took a nontraditional approach to the work, whether it be footwear, a table, or even a sauna. These five projects grabbed our attention above all others this week.
BEER MACHINE by STANISLAV VASILEV
We love good beer label design and Stanislav succeeds in just that with his psychedelic illustration. The fractured face was initially drawn by hand and we think it translates nicely to the actual label.
Adidas #heretocreate Campaign by Karine Fortier
Done as a project for Adidas, Karine was commissioned to create a mural for a studio. She manages to bring together the idea of collaboration and an active lifestyle, and her quirky design work looks especially cool on these classic kicks.
Zach collaborated with wife to design their family home in Michigan from the ground up. Not only is the project personally significant, but it's also a fine example of rustic meets modern.
Tiramisu Table by Eric Rivera Barbeito
There's a simple elegance to Eric's table, and we like how he demonstrates skill as both a woodworker and a designer. He also takes a unique approach to constructing it.
IR SAUNA WITH SKY DOME by Dmitri Licichin
It's not every day somebody comes along and dumps a handful of amazing looking sauna designs on Coroflot, but that's exactly what Dmitri has done here. We had a hard time picking a favorite so we had to settle on this one, which seems to embrace the classic format while also looking sleek enough to be in a Las Vegas hotel.
