Staff Picks Of The Week: December 9
This week we were excited to see a wide variety of fascinating projects. There was not a theme this week per se, but each project featured here is the work of a designer with a highly creative and crystal clear vision. What's also cool is that even though some of these projects are conceptual, they have been executed and nicely presented to us. Here are the five projects that stood out to the Coroflot team this week:
Italdesign Giugiaro GEA by Davide Valpreda
Can you get more baller than a car with a freakin' champagne holder? No, you cannot. Davide designed the lavish, futuristic interior for this concept car, which is seriously slick. The only problem is finding someone else to drive while you sip bubbly in the back seat.
We're not sure what the name is all about, but these wine-inspired lights are warm, intimate, and, dare we say it, romantic. Besides the elegant design, the lights are also wireless and rechargeable, making them a practical alternative to candles.
Hermit & Anemone by Jordanna Leah
This collection of silk scarves, handkerchiefs and pocket squares is a lovely example of digitally printed textiles. They were also created using environmentally friendly manufacturing practices, so you can feel good about looking good.
Nice use of tech materials with plenty of juicy concept exploration make these shoe designs stand out. We also dig the tight sketch work and rendering style.
Estelle executes a beautiful transition from concept to physical form with a solid end result. Plus, the fanciful corks are an excellent finishing touch.
