Hey guys,
I guess this is where I try to summarize my whole life in this little box. I will give it my shot! My passion for design started off when I was a wee lad. I would build the best forts in my family, come up with the coolest obstacle courses and even create some pretty awesome things with my lego sets. I always knew someone out there was creating all of these RAD things. This is when I started my journey to become a great designer!
In high school I wanted to take classes that would help me grow in art & design. So I joined the marching band! That's artsy enough right? Not so much..So my parents told me to sign up for the Architecture & Drafting class at the SICTC. This is where I started learning the basics needed to become a great designer! Drawing 3D boxes, building cool things out of wood and even something about shooting a bird? It was my first real step in the right direction to becoming a designer.
I was accepted into Purdue University and began my first year of engineering classes. I enjoyed the concept of coming up with useful ways to make a product work mechanically but I just wanted a little more freedom to be creative and design my own products. Thats when I started taking Industrial design classes and started losing sleep. I finally had the opportunity to learn how a product was created from beginning to end. Only problem was how do I use this new skill to really have an impact on someones life?
