Responsible for all footwear and mainline accessories designs from concept to production while adhering to strict deadlines
Introduce innovative design methods and as well as designing within the brief, having a good understanding of Castore aesthetes
Interpreting colour and material trends while collaborating with the apparel team
Identifying growth opportunities for the wholesale, as it relates to product categories and consumer segments
Liaising with global suppliers for sourcing and qualifying materials for prototypes as competitive prices
Creating new tooling tech packs, developing, and revising blueprints and 3D models
Reviewing prototypes in a timely manner and update tech packs to reflect agreed upon changes and modifications.

Designing general garment accessories, with a heavy focus towards footwear.
Preparing for and attending seasonal design meetings with customers to collect design briefs.
Independently creating and developing designs to present back to the customer.
Developing the product through to completion with the factories, including liaising with customers on prototypes over email and face to face.
Awareness and adherence of the Design/Development critical path, working to meet these deadlines.
Working to customer target prices, keeping up to date with fabric and trim pricing to ensure designs are in line with target prices.
Reporting to Design Manager on design projects to gain feedback and support where relevant.
Keeping up with design trends for all product areas and having a strong awareness of customers aesthetic, brand history and seasonal direction.
Partaking in firsthand product research, particularly in footwear via UK and overseas store visits and tradeshows.
Visiting potential and new factories to assess product capability and how they could be utilized in the design department.
Researching new emerging brands, influencers, and hyped product releases.
