My mission is to create beauty and satisfaction in form, function, and depth of concept. The most effective way I can achieve this is by creating objects for others that enrich their experience and provide a conduit for their own self-expression. A quote from my website: "The objects that surround us at home and in the workplace have a subtle but profound effect on the quality of our lives, both physically and psychologically." I am most inspired by how we relate to each other and our surroundings and the depth and mystery of our shared human experience. Nature, psychology and spirituality are manifest in form, and reflect this depth and mystery.
I am a member of The Furniture Society and Splinters, a local woodworkers guild. My work has been shown many times over the years at West Coast galleries and juried exhibits and work has been published in Better Homes and Gardens, and Taunton's "Custom Furniture Source Book", as well as other West Coast and local publications. A Croatian design magazine, "Oglasnik Nekretnine", recently featured my work in a 4 page spread. Some of my work has also appeared on the Core77 and Treehugger blog sites, among others.
