The docking station is a recharging unit and also holds compartments for the beaters and dough hooks. There is also a fold-able platform that holds a stainless steel dish. This is to ensure the product is easier to store. When you are done with the mixer, you place it back onto the docking station where it will recharge, but rather than having the mixture drip onto the counter, it will drip onto the dish where you can take it out and clean it with the beaters leaving less of a mess in the kitchen

This product will mainly be made from injection moulded ABS, with the exception of the stainless steel top, and front panel. This is to keep an essence of the Morphy Richards style. The purple handle piece could possibly be made from a plastic elastomer, e.g. TPE for added comfort

Morphy Richards Hand Mixer Project

The project brief was to design a food preparation appliance suitable to fit in the Morphy Richards range.

I decided to design a compact, cordless hand mixer, aimed at the mid-market (consumers aged 35-44), who look for quality and elegance in their products
