Assigned the duty to design and complete a cultural mapping pilot project
The scope of the project was to use GIS software to map Sacred Places on San Antonio’s West-Side
Research was conducted on 60 Sacred Places via: phone interviews, digital data collection, photographs, Sanborne maps, and collection of city demographic data.
A database was generated and the use of ESRI GIS software was used to produce over 20 maps displaying the cultural significance of the Sacred Places
Findings were presented to significant City Officials, Neighborhood Leaders, Architects, Historians, Professors and Dean.
A final report was completed and currently being revised for publication
The Dallas Museum of Art– Designer and Builder Wall Installation; Assisted in the experimentation and fabrication of materials
Fabricated the physical model pieces using construction and un-conventional methods
Aided in the early stages of digital modeling and applying the use of a scripting via RHINO
Created molds and castings of Hydro cal concrete for the final production tiles
Assisted in the design for mounting and installation of tiles
Oversaw budgeting and purchasing of certain materials
Applied use of the laser cutter in the production of the wall
Completed final installation of the soft cast side and hard cut side of the wall.
