Master’s Thesis – Design Issues in hostel interior spaces
The objective of the thesis was to examine an existing girl’s campus housing facility from a holistic approach and present their latent & apparent needs. The interior study of the girl student’s dual sharing rooms (10’2”x11’6”) in IIIT DMJ and their habits revealed various habitability and safety-related issues. In the end of the research, a set of interior space solutions for those rooms were suggested based on functionality, ergonomics, comfort, safety and interactivity without any structural changes.
