Tyler Gilbert

I am the Director in the Industrial Design studio, where we are responsible for the product design for two 100+ year old brands, Stanley and Aladdin, as well as select private label clients.

My responsibilities include establishing design direction for internal and external clients in collaboration with product management, managing the studio project load and execution, driving design development of product catalogs, and designing products.

Primary designer responsible for the development of consumer electronic products for satellite television subscribers. Responsible for all project design elements including timeline, resource management, and vendor outsourcing.

+ Created design language direction for set top boxes and remotes
+ Worked within a multi-disciplinary team including mechanical, electrical and software engineers and factory representatives
+ Selected and managed vendors for prototyping needs
+ Generated design concepts for user interface architecture and graphics
+ Established user interface department within the design group

Designer at a small consulting studio based outside Seattle in Issaquah, Wa.
Main focus was conceptual work for a variety of clients based in and around the Seattle area, including Intermec, Cutler-Hammer, K2, GT Product Development and others.
