The product range consisted of home accessories like, Cushions, Curtains, Table Linen etc & Lifestyle Accessories, like Hammocks, Rucksack, Duffel Bags etc. * Working in coordination with Textile handcraft artisans and creating Home based collections inspired from various crafts like Chikankari, Jamdani etc.

) * To understand and study the international market of Home furnishings along with the ongoing and future design trends for the same by referring various magazines & trend books. * Design new surfaces meant for the Upholstery and curtains suitable for the existing client base which includes renowned clients like Armani, Oscar de la renta, Rubelli, Pierre Frey, Zimmer & Rohde, Larsen, Wind, Jane Churchill, Mulberry home, GPJ Baker, Casamance, Manual Canovas, Dedar etc. The techniques used for the sample development include mostly woven's (Upholstery, Velvet & Jacquards), Prints, Embroidery (Hand & Machine). * Having to study overall aesthethics of a particular brands and apply forms, compositions and color combinations suiting the targeted client in order to present a wholesome finished end product. * Executing client work on time to time basis which included working on the designs provided by them and creating color blankets. * Participating in the international annual fairs like Heimtextile, Proposte & Moods to showcase the designs as well as working on the documentation of the same using photography as a medium.

* Understanding latest trends in Surfaces (print, embroidery etc) and developing fresh concepts based on the trend forecast using sources like WGSN. * Working on the buyer specific projects & coordinating with the merchandiser on time to time basis whenever required, which also includes to study and understand their aesthetics and design according to their needs. Some of the key buyers include IKEA & Carrefour. * Travelling to various craft based regions & interacting with artisans (mostly Kutch) to understand their respective craft techniques & collaborate with them for majority of collections. * SPUN, a part of Women Empowerment under CSR initiative, hence interacting & training the beneficiaries at various training centres for the sample development stage with the help of centre coordinators. * Coordinating with the merchandiser, factory, training centres and other respective authorities whenever necessary. * Preparing & participation in the marketing related events such as Craft fairs, Ambiente, Heimtex etc. and interacting with the visitors and buyers on one to one basis and explaining them the product if required. This also includes working on the catalogue and helping out in photo shoot for the same.

Worked for the launch of an upcoming hand-craft based home furnishings brand while involving with various craft clusters & NGO's like Gramshree & Khamir based in Gujarat. Also got an opportunity to visit & study different crafts artisans involving tie-dye, Weaving, Block printing and work with materials like, Kala cotton. A Print design project with Arvind Mills, Ahmedabad, Where a collection of prints surfaces was developed taking an inspiration from Craft tradition of India, Chamba Rumal. Classroom project - Woven Apparel The course required to take up any international brand (MARC JACOBS) and create a collection of woven fabrics suitable to its design aesthetics. Hence following the brand MARC JACOBS past few collections, & taking theme of 'Rhythmic & Graphic' from the trend forecast, woven samples and the co-ordinates were developed which could be used for RTW Spring-Summer collection. Craft Documentation of the Traditional Embroidery Craft of the Lambanis from Karnataka & Maharashtra Interacted with the Lambanis/ Banjara artisans at the local NGO in Karnataka, Sandur Kushala Kala Kendra (SKKK) to understand their craft and the stories behind it and document their techniques, motifs etc Internship at Vaishali Design Studio (VDS), Home Textiles & home Decor industry in both international & domestic market since 1997, Noida, India
