Artist, Born in California raised in Baltimore, moved around a lot. Interested in drawing all my life. After not getting any reply from School for The Arts –Baltimore, I dropped out of high school. The family moved to a reservation, then after almost being brutally murdered I was sent to San Francisco for 9 or 12 months, gained some inspiration from the atmosphere while recovering from a head injury, then moved back (in the mid 90's) to live with my mom in Silverlake. From there I Studied art/graphic design at SMC & music/graphic design at LACC.
For a year, I studied classical guitar with the late maestro Antonio, learned to read music and played coffee shops. Later, after my 20's I received a BS. in Visual Communications from an accelerated and very expensive private college. Now I work as a Web Designer for a few clients as well as building computers, doing graphics, handling social media accounts, and whatever else they want, or don't know they need.
Early on, I would illustrate with ink, sew, make collage, paint murals, and designed a few tattoos.
My early inspiration came from visiting BMA as a youngster, and my Mother who is a poet, writer and painter, her crew and some damaged Baltimore graffiti Kings that designed some amazing blackbooks and pieces.
Today, I sit here writing this from a cruddy low-income Downtown LA apartment and honestly don't know how I survived, sometimes not even believing I did. But I'm here to do something or help someone.
I am now a very heart-broken but sincere person and law-abiding citizen –even though LA is the most lawless city I've lived in.
Thank You for reading my compressed story. Please feel free to contact me @tjupp and as hard as it is to say, keep following your hearts & dreams. [t]
