Teeter Totter
I had an idea of making a teeter totter for adults. After securing a spot at a friend's unused backyard, I went to work.
After some initial testing, I found 30 degrees to be a comfortable angle that would keep riders from falling off but at the same time give us the highest height possible. The longest lumber available was 20 feet, so some basic trig tells us it took us 11 feet in the air with the pivot point 5.5 feet off the ground. Small hooks were placed every 18 inches to provide a place to attach weights to provide and even weight distribution for riders of different sizes.
