Designer In Resident
Birmingham City University
Sep 2013 - Present (11 years 3 months)
The Designer in Resident (DIR) position within Birmingham City University (BCU) provides young designer a great opportunity in expanding existing skills and discover new ones.
I am currently providing mentoring support and working with second and third level Product Design students. As the students only get to see their tutors twice a week it can be refreshing for them to discus their work with someone closer to their age and who has recently gone through the full university experience.
I provide support where I can, from project development, essay structuring, workshop and model making advice.
The one year programme will allow me time to develop my portfolio and explore product designs which I may have otherwise struggled to financially support. Most importantly I wish to improve on my mentoring and teaching skills, in the hope that it will open future doors and opportunities.

Store Assistant
ALDI Stores
Jun 2013 - Present (11 years 6 months)
Aldi operates an 'all hands on deck' attitude in the workplace, where you are expected to multitask and adapt quickly as every day can bring new and unexpected challenges.
The role of Store Assistant covers a wide range of tasks, from replenishing stock on the shop floor, serving customers on the tills, and maintaining the organisation and efficiency within the warehouse.
As I am constantly on the shop floor interacting with the customers and representing the Aldi brand, I must keep up to date with future Special Buys, product price changes, and general floor safety, due to the high and increasing foot fall through our doors.
