Alpha Sigma Kappa 2012 Chapter Photo - Our chapter currently consists of 42 members.
Upon initiation, you become part of a smaller family within the chapter. This family provides a close knit group of woman, and acts a support group you can rely on to help you throughout your college journey. Not everyone shares the exact same major, but together we all exhibit different skills and personality traits that make us thrive as a group.
ASKakes - Every year Alpha Sigma Kappa hosts a fundraiser to benefit the local animal shelter. This event takes place in the Spring, and sells cupcakes from the Cup Cake Emporium. Philanthropy is an important pillar of our organization and serving the community is a goal we highly encourage and support. Scout it Out - The girls get to participate in a variety a small science experiments. This activity was focused on making miniature hover crafts using simple house hold items such as a CD and a balloon. Activities such as these were designed to show the girls a new perspective of science and that they have what it takes to get involved.
Scout it Out - The girls also got the chance to make 'slime' in the color of their choice. Shown here are a few examples of the final product.

Alpha Sigma Kappa - Woman in Technical Studies

Alpha Sigma Kappa is a sorority for woman choosing to pursue technical majors. It is a non-facility chapter that gives woman an opportunity to form life-long friendships, create academic and emotional support groups, and experience college from a new social perspective.

I currently hold the position of Traditions chair within my chapter, which gives me chance to exemplify what our chapter stands for and create ways to develop our sisterhood to the next level. I feel this position and our organization as a whole are a great ways for me to over come the engineering stereotype and live life to its full potential during my college experience.
