After taking a brief break after the last job, I have got back into the industry to work on freelance projects in interior design.
Most of my work is based in Dubai, UAE as I am more familiar with the industry there, owing to my past experience. I have worked on a few projects locally, where I could visit in person and oversee the work done.
Taking up freelance work, was mainly to stay in touch with my skills and further develop them. It has also helped in keeping up with trends as it emerges.

In charge of New Product Development and Production in the firm. The role includes creating layouts for interior spaces, creating designs for bespoke furniture, creation of new designs for easy assemble exhibition spaces and artwork for the same. The client side requires photo realistic renders of the interior spaces and/or the products we make and the production team requires CAD drawings for constructing our designs, both of which are handled in this role. Liaising with suppliers and keeping up to date with the latest materials available in the market for whatever our clients require is a integral part of my role here.

In charge of New Product Development in the firm. Also responsible for adapting existing systems to suit client needs and requirements. Supporting the CAD team with any extra help they need and come up with unique solutions to problems certain projects get caught up with. Liaising with the production team goes hand in hand with product development. Creating production drawings for the varied departments in the production area has helped to get to know the standards and detailing required for each of them. Have worked closely with sheet metal production, wood working, metal casting and aluminum extrusion.

I was the lead product designer in the firm which had me working in all the projects that it handled. As we were a technology development company, my work involved developing concept sketches, making rough 3D renderings, final renders to present to the client and making cad drawings for manufacturing and cataloging.

With Desolenator, I was in the core technical team as well as the lead product designer. Building a device that generates drinking water from sea water is a huge challenge but with the support of the technical team we are working towards that goal. I was also in charge of developing renders and other graphic assets for the marketing and technical teams to help them educate the public about our product.

Process customer requests in the different departments I worked in.

I have worked in departments ranging from ISA management to Bereaved Services. I joined Lloyds right after finishing my Masters course and have been working there since. Working in this company has given me lots of valuable experiences.

I have always always outperformed the targets set for us and without ever compromising on the quality of work, and all the managers I have worked with can vouch for that.

Even though we never came in contact with a customer directly I have come to appreciate that every piece of paper that you handle is a customer who needs to be served.

I have also received training in how to handle confidential data among various other training courses like Anti-money laundering, Sanctions, Treating customers fairly.

Being very flexible and quick to learn new processes I have been in many different departments and have picked up a variety of skills from them.

Owing to the experience I have had in the company, I have been put into training new recruits and have successfully brought them up to speed and quality needed in the shortest possible time.

Managing the kiosk, making sure its clean and presentable.

Managing the till, to make sure there was enough change so as not to keep the customer waiting.

Serving customers as quickly as possible and making sure they are served right however big the order is.

Helped with the research part of the design process for different project.

I started my industrial design training from here and learned how a design unit operates and other basics. I was a trainee product designer with ICARUS, Bangalore for 5 months, and was taught the software products required for the job.

Icarus Design focused on product design, label design and brand development. I was involved with 2 projects in the time I worked here. The learning curve was steep as I hadn't been formally trained in industrial design at that time. However, I was able to pick us concepts quickly and was able to deliver concept sketches, and later detailed drawings for those projects.
