I am a Physical Model Maker with experience in both clay modelling and hard modelling in a workshop environment. After having worked at a prestigious design consultancy workshop, I have gained valuable, essential skills in hand crafting and machining methods such as lathes and various other machining tools. These skills have developed in the various projects I have been involved in, from motorcycle concepts to engine concepts and various internationally known brands such as Rolls Royce Motorcars and Noble Automotive. After studying a 4 year course at Coventry University, I am well equipped with a wide scope of knowledge in the whole design and engineering process and I am able to utilise these skills, combined with my extensive experience in scale modelling, in a physical modelling role. With my expertise, I have embarked on many projects during university including the Design of a Full Vehicle containing broad engineering input and live projects such as the Coventry University 2012 Formula Student vehicle. This involved liaising with the engineering team and graphics team to deliver the most efficient, visually strong vehicle that would prove to be very competitive amongst other universities. My skills in visualisation means I am able to understand complex surfacing in 3D and interpret them in engineering drawings. I am looking to network with expert CAD and physical modellers who can offer the further experience I require to become a higher tier physical modeller.
Achieved a place in the top 3 in multiple online scale model competitions.
