Tana M. Llinas is a multidisciplinary designer, speaker, and visionary with more than 15 years of experience in the agency world. She has worked with top agencies, organizations and global brands, including VISA, Starwood Resort & Residences, Chronicle Books, University of Miami, and Starbucks. After nearly a decade as a co-owner and creative director for another company, Tana recently founded Brand Poets a creative agency specializing in integrated branding systems.
Tana earned her B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and began her professional career in Barcelona as a design assistant to Javier Mariscal, one of Spain’s most respected illustrators. She went on to develop integrated brand systems for a wide range of private and commercial clients: spas, hotels, real estate development firms, exhibition spaces, apparel lines, and other like-minded visionary partners throughout Spain and the United Kingdom. Tana has served as Vice President of the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA), critiqued prospective RISD applicant portfolios for the past 15 years, and mentored designers and entrepreneurs through various speaking engagements.
On a personal note, Tana earned a first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 18 and has traveled to over 33 countries, including several through her work with Habitat for Humanity. She finds inspiration in faraway places, innovative thinkers, and well-executed special effects in zombie flicks.
Brand Poets is recognized by several organizations for our work as well as our reputation including Communication Arts, Expertise.com, ShoutOut Miami, Community Newspapers, Florida Print Awards and SoFlo Biz Journals.
