I attended Kent State University and walked away with a BFA in Visual Communication Design, with a concentration in illustration. Determined to get a “real job,” I spent a few misguided years in advertising, all the while yearning to stretch my illustration and design skills to see where they could take me.
In 2002, I took the leap and launched the Power of Whodo, an illustration + design studio specializing in whimsical artwork and clever design. I have enjoyed a measure of success since then, from illustrating children's books, growth charts, kids room art and public art pieces that have been displayed in Cleveland, Akron and Columbus to illustrating and designing greeting cards, fabric patterning, infographics and branding.
When it comes to creating art, there's is nothing I won't try. I enjoy the challenge of taking ideas and creating them into clever artistic presentations. I believe the world needs more joy, happiness and whimsy. So, at the end of the day, if my art can bring a smile to even one child or adult, it makes all of the hard work worthwhile.
i look forward to encountering more artistic challenges. thank you for your time.
