Importantly, to develop visual thinking and perception of the fundamentals of variegated forms of arts, design and craft work.
Subjects:
Arts & Graphic 1 - Semester 1
Course Objective: To enhance manual line drawing and sketching by developing fine motor skills by boosting stability and consistency. Expression of creative concepts via hand drawn sketches of views and plans. Psychology of colors – the role of colors in designing spaces. Integration of color theory with interior designing and architecture.
Arts & Graphic 4 - Semester 4
Course Objective: Learning the art of mixed media, complete with its history and techniques – Stained Glass painting + Wire Sculpture + Gypsum Tile relief work +Architectural Collage. To understand their applications in Interior Design processes.
Fundamentals & Principles of Product Design – Semester 6
Course Objective: The objective of the course is to focus on thorough knowledge of product design in interiors. Studying the systematic approach of designing, conceptualizing, evaluating ideas, and turning them into a tangible product for an interior space.

SwatiK is a bespoke art & design company. It deals with handcrafted home decor items and fashion accessories. SwatiK offers custom-made items for corporate and personal gifting, and for individuals.

Responsibilities:
• Genesis of SwatiK company. The idea of bespoke handcrafted items and the research to set a new company up. To make sure that the designs on paper manifest perfectly.
• Designing work - Logo design, Website Design, Corporate Identity Design, Product Design, Packaging Design, Label Design, Product Brochure Design & print.
• Sourcing - Materials from different parts of India. Tailors with the right skill set. Craftsmen for the required embroidery.
• Product Photoshoot.
• Expand the product range by adding different items to the catalogue like pure Silver jewellery, custom-made clocks, handpainted art with frame.
• Marketing strategies - Contact magazines to publish interview article of and about SwatiK. Constantly updating and posting on Social media handles - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest. Contacting designers and designing companies and sending across SwatiK info pack. Exhibiting in the Markets that happen in Dubai & Abu Dhabi.
• Copywriting for website, social handles, magazines, product descriptions, brochure.
• Logistics handling for shipping internationally

A 360' project completion exposure that included job roles ranging from client servicing, development of drawings and BOQs, interior designing to formation of quotation, on-site management, supplier coordination, logistics et all.
Job responsibilities:
* Direct Client Servicing on retail as well as contract front.
* Prepare design presentations including selections of Furniture, Lighting, etc.
* Prepare the Presentation Boards according the Final selection approved by the client.
* Prepare all B.O.Q.s, Specs Sheets and all necessary technical documents required to execute the project.
* On site supervision for impeccable execution and timely handover of projects
* Meetings with designers to showcase and propagate in-house brands and services provided.
* Part of the Bid Team in some major bidding processes for the Dubai Airport.
* Point of contact of coordination for major orders from Dubai Airport, Emirates to MGME's Airport Turnkey partner CCM.
A holistic design and business development job role that gave an all round exposure of design process till completion.

There were no boundaries of work responsibilities here, which was great! We were allowed to take up projects, responsibilities that we deemed capable of doing. I covered events of variegated nature and agendas, wrote articles, edited photographs , spread our magazines presence by having cafes and universities place them (one8one magazines) for free take aways,assisted Editor in Chief for meetings with clients.

Assistant Interior Stylist
Clientele: Ritu Kumar, Houseful Home Décor Store, Gul Ahmed Textile Co., Jaquar Bathroom Fittings, Aquamarine Store.

Responsibilities:
Meeting new and existing clients and determining their requirements.
Delivering projects under strict deadlines and within the client’s budget.
Preparing drawing, sketches, proposals and quotations for clients.
Providing drawing support to the senior interior stylist with extensive research and referencing in accordance with client’s brief.
Co-ordinating and monitoring the work of both contractors and suppliers.
Supervising and improvising design execution on-site.
Make presentations for the client.
Assisting a successful solo designer offered an opportunity for me to play a holistic role of a Site Manager, Sourcing Props, Personal Assistant, along with managing Public Relation & Accounts.
