Upon re-entry into the Indian market, Dewar’s was faced with a challenge, Indian law prevents alcohol companies from advertising on mainstream media. Newly launched brands have to find innovative ways of connecting with audiences in the country while positioning themselves well within Indian law. Dewar’s decided to launch a branded television platform which would connect the audience to the brand’s philosophy - ”Some Things Are Just Worth Doing”. The Dewarists proved to be a huge success and won a bronze lion at Cannes in its very first season. Dewar’s decided to utilise the success of the platform to increase sales of their product portfolio.
