In 1991 I designed this extraordinarily appealing upright electronic bass that included both the iconic outline of the classic upright bass while incorporating it's own speaker system to amplify the strings. 4 years later, Yamaha released an Upright Electronic Bass with uncanny similarity. This design was featured on the cover of INNOVATION MAGAZINE in 1991 and the design garnered a GOLD IDEA that very year.
