Director of Industrial Design, Steve
Christopher has nearly a decade of product experience within
corporate and consulting environments.
Steve’s portfolio is vast, having worked in every phase of product
development -from portfolio planning and new experience
exploration to ideation, production and user interface
development. His approach to design relies on the
end-to-end product development process including research,
ideation, 3D refinement, production liaising and end user
experience.
This close involvement in the design process ensures the overall
vision and final product is not lost in any stage of development.
Positively impacting people’s lives thru the creation of innovative
products and experiences is what drives Steve’s passion as a
designer.
During his time at MINIMAL, Steve has worked closely on a range
of projects such as next generation Xbox experiences, Google
mobile devices, Sonosite Ultrasound equipment, Intel Future Vision
Strategies, Dell laptops and mobile devices, Microsoft hardware
and packaging, Magnalite Tea Kettles and accessories for
Coalesse, an imprint of Steelcase.
Prior to MINIMAL, Steve worked as a product designer for
Motorola in both the mobile accessories group and Window’s
phone team, where he was responsible for creating innovative new
platforms and expanding product categories in Bluetooth
headsets, wireless audio and mobile phones. He was also involved
in numerous partnership development opportunities including JBL,
Burton and Oakley.
A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Steve holds a BFA
in Industrial Design with a minor in Graphic Design.
