Snake in Color Pencil
This color pencil rendering of a snake tells a shadow of a story about being close, but just not quite there. Snakes smell with their tongues, but this snake is trying to smell the budding flower with his nose. He's actually off on two points, that he can't smell with his nose and that buds are not the most fragrant part of a flower. Who knows, if he tries long enough he may just get it or perhaps he's just better off to go with the flow.
