Stephan Clambaneva is the Director and Design Business Consultant for the Design Studio at Dassault Systèmes. His 20 years of experience spans the entire product lifecycle from ideation, innovation & design thinking through engineering, manufacturing execution to operations and sustainability working with several fortune 500 companies across many industries.
He was the Experience Consulting Director for the Consumer Goods and Retail Industry & Business Consultant Director for Industrial Equipment Industry.
He has worked for IBM as a design process business consultant for the Global Business Services PLM team. His other responsibilities included Environmental Product Lifecycle Management Champion and Global Industry Leader for the IBM PLM organization.
Stephan was elected Member of the Board & Vice President for the North East District for the Industrial Designers Society of America in 2012. He also served as Chapter Chair of IDSA for New York City. He led the Chapter through continuous growth and ever increasing local monthly events and multiple large scale programs such as the IDSA Curated Booth at the Annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair. As DVP he created and executed 3 Conferences in Philadelphia, Hartford and notably New York during the 2014 NY design week focusing on the intersection of design, local maker movement, startups & VC funding.
He has an active public speaking schedule at IDSA Intl Conf, DMI, French American Chamber of Commerce, DFM & Retail Summit, IBM and Dassault Systemes Corp Events around the world and has published and presented papers on the subject of Design Thinking, Innovation, Product Lifecycle Mgmt., ID, Eco-Design, Environmental Management Systems and sustainability. He received his B.Eng at Warwick University & his MMM from Penn State University. He is fluent in English, French and Greek. Mr. Clambaneva has significant international experience, considers himself a capital "D" designer, π-shaped [Design+Business], TCK [Third Culture Kid] & design value evangelist.
