During her studies she participated in wide spectrum of projects including cooperation with commercial brands such as Halla a.s., one of the major czech lights producers. In 2012 she got a school internship in Vancouver, Canada, where she was studying product design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Therefore she got deeper experience with wood and textile.
In her last year of study she started to work as a product designer at studio 1to1 design s.r.o. in Prague, Czech Republic, where she has been managing a table-lamp project including product design as well as technical aspects. .
Her design focus is always on basic human needs. She always like to look at a problem from different point of view and try to search for new solutions. Simona tries not only to make things aesthetic and in line with the brand style, but also functional and beneficial for the end user. She uses traditional design methods such as sketching and modeling in computer programs as well as manufacturing technologies and experimenting with materials. The key to success is in her opinion based on combination of simplicity, functionality, emotions and also sustainability
