With passion and enthusiasm for baking and pastry, I left my home country, China, came all the way to Johnson & Wales University, Providence, RI.
I am currently a senior student major in Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management. I've gained basic baking and pastry art skills and abilities by learning and practicing in labs. Also, I've done many various volunteer assignments in order to get more chance to practice my skills and techniques, such as Chef's Choice and Open House Events. As a Chef's Choice teaching assistant, I help participants from various walks of life practice basic baking and pastry skills and answer any questions they might have. Through this program, I have reinforced techniques and skills that were taught in the classroom, making me even more comfortable with my trade. In addition, I volunteer for Chef's demonstration in school and had chance to observe World Cup Competition for choosing USA Team. These experiences allow me to learn skills, be professional at my job and practice proper work ethics.
