Degree in Product Design with a specialism in eco design engineering from the University of Derby, Along with a PDGE in secondary school design and technology. Over the past few years I have developed a vital skill set, including the ability to look at a problem and come up with a viable solution. Developing this concept to better suit the customer's needs. Drawing in both 2D and 3D, as well as becoming familiar with a variety of design software. I have developed more transferable skill sets alongside these more specific abilities. Including the application of number, linguistic qualities and computer skills.
Software skills include
Solid works
• I have used Solid works for approximately 10 years and have an understanding on how to achieve a desired outcome with the tools available
Photoshop
• I have used Photoshop for the past 5 years, in the form of the development of professional presentation boards.
Showcase
• I have used showcase for a year, and have a basic understanding of the processes and tools available within the software.
Office products
• Due to having completed an extensive IT course, I have a vast understanding of all of the office products available, such as word, publisher, excel, etc.
Pro-Desktop
• Pro-desk top has been an essential component for me while completing my teaching degree. due to it enabling students to use specific machinery such as laser cutters.
SketchUp
•Sketchup was the 3D modelling package used within the high schools i taught in, as a result i quickly picked up the package to the level of being able to teach its key components.
