Sr. Art Director
H. Whitney Cutler Advertising
Jan 1990 - Jan 1993 (3 years)
Because of my experience as a former owner of an ad agency and because it was a very small B2B agency, my responsibilities encompassed a large area. I actively took part in anything that needed to be done, including most of the creative process, all of the typesetting, copy-writing, layouts, mechanical preparation, spreadsheets, print buying, and some client contact. I introduced the Macintosh computer system and its abilities to this traditional, very conservative agency and accomplished all of my goals and more. I became the main Macintosh designer and implemented many new ideas and protocols. I also retained my ability to design the traditional way through thumbnails, roughs, marker comps etc.
