As a senior operations coordinator, effective time management and positivity has been key with the ever changing initiatives. I lead and manage our new store construction and relay the project needs to the executives. My daily use of the Adobe Suite, allows me to create store and fixture layouts, design custom fixtures, and illustrate visual merchandising guides. I have learned to craft directions for employees at all levels. Whether it is the middle aged employee or the young tech savvy kid, the written and visual communication has had to be clear and concise for all.
While studying abroad in Sweden I learned to work among culturally diverse and cross disciplinary peers as a team. Together we innovated products for Thule and IKEA. My most prominent school project, my senior thesis, was the development of a product that was driven by consumer needs and market research. The need for material innovation, ergonomics, and an aesthetic focus was evident in the research of protective gear. The result was the aesthetic of protection, a sleek, but intimidating set of catching gear for the elite softball player.
