Was responsible for designing stationery and gift products sold in mass-market retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
* Develop new designs using custom illustration, stock and licensed art in a wide variety of styles that will appeal to both retail buyers and product consumers. Designs have been sold in Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Staples, Costco, Kmart, Walgreens, and other national retailers.
* Interpret home decor and fashion trends appropriately during the design concept stage. Create beautiful, seasonal color palettes that will translate well onto products.
* Partner with marketing and production teams to develop new, innovative products. This includes product concepts, technical illustrations, product renderings, template design, material selection, and cooperation with the production team to ensure prototype samples from overseas manufacturing are accurate.
* Communicate ideas and concepts via product renderings and illustrations prior to production. These images are presented to buyers during sales presentations. Responsible for choosing embellishments, keeping within budget constraints, creating the embellishment plates, dielines, and factory sample color approval during production.

Was responsible for producing visual solutions for merchandising and sales teams by creating dynamic product presentation boards, custom design books and mood/inspiration boards. Primary responsibilities included:
* ILLUSTRATION: Conceptualized and rendered images using Illustrator and Photoshop. Included fashion illustrations, apparel technical flat sketches, and custom apparel designs for clients. Clients included: Air Canada, FedEx, Continental Airlines, Chick-fil-A, Harley Davidson, Mazda, the NFL, and other national and international brands.
* PACKAGING: Designed visually effective and functional packaging solutions, including hang-tags, “belly-bands”, etc.
* TEXTILE DESIGN: Developed artwork for fabric repeats used on scarves, ties, suit linings, and shirting.
* Was responsible for researching and compiling market trend information.
* Managed and maintained all budget limits or restrictions for materials and projects.
* Traveled to our manufacturing facilities in Honduras and learned more about the process of apparel mass-production. This was valuable time spent, as the insight gave me perspective to design garments that could be constructed faster and easier, therefore saving money.
* Trained and managed the day-to-day activities of our graphic design Intern.
