I run creative projects for a small team focused on Packaging in the Beauty and Personal Care market for MeadWestvaco. Focus on designing for the consumer, including user experience, ergonomics and emotional brand equity. My job consists of creating proposals for work, project planning, creative direction, mentorship of junior designers, design research, design strategy development, innovative sketch exploration, 3D exploration and ergonomic assessment, design for manufacturing, presenting to high value customers and working as part of design leadership.
I live in Richmond with my husband Josh (suit by day, guitar luthier by night), my bunny rabbit Oscar (chillest bunny alive) and our german shepherd Beau (grumpy old man). Currently addicted to: reading, trying out vegetarian recipes, discovering new music, dorky step aerobics class at my gym AND practicing digital painting with a borrowed Wacom tablet (test driving to see which one I want to buy).
I have a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from North Carolina State University. Go Wolfpack! and a Biological Engineering degree from State as well. Before working at MeadWestvaco, I worked for at REDLab at NCSU as a graduate assistant supporting ergonomic design studies (specific focus on hands and upper body).
