My personal design philosophy is that true design is more than just a beautification exercise. Aesthetics and branding alone can never be the only considerations to ensure a product’s success.
True design is finding an inspired and effective balance between a wide array of compromises; the delicate relationship between usability, ergonomics, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, sustainability, and very often affordances for repair and/or transport must all be weighted in order to lead to a truly beautiful final solution. -
