Alien Sport John Madden - Advertising in trade and consumer publications. Bringing a new golf club to market is tough. Most brands rely on professional endorsements, but bringing on a pro golfer can whack out the economics. Instead, we focused on amateur golfers who had a bit of celebrity. The whole campaign of "Alien Encounters" generated a lot of awareness and generated sales off the direct response ads. In combination with a DRTV campaign and retail penetration, we helped alien sell a lot of clubs.
