Currently I’m responsible for managing a large Engineering team for the case goods division at Krug - a 135-year-old premium office furniture manufacturer with over 500 employees. My team is responsible for product development, specials quoting and engineering, as well as CNC programming and product specifications. We’re in the process of updating antiquated software to rules based technology along with product line amalgamation and standardization.
Prior I was responsible for managing the Product Development and Engineering departments at Cortina Kitchens - a high-end kitchen cabinetry & millwork manufacturer with over 150 employees. I standardized and redefined product lines as well as streamlined the work order flow process by aiding in the development of a custom ERP software. I also programmed and implemented Cabinet Vision's kitchen design software as well as integrated Cabinet Vision's Screen-to-Machine (s2m) software module within the production facility.
Previously to Cortina Kitchens, I supervised the Engineering department at AyA Kitchens - a mass production modular-based kitchen cabinetry manufacturer with over 300 employees and dealerships across Canada & USA. I developed and engineered multiple standard product lines, project managed multi-million dollar facility expansions, performed countless efficiency and quality studies on manufacturing processes, and have implemented numerous design and process systems which reduced labour times, waste, and reworks. I also aided in the design, development, and integration of a proprietary product data management system which acted as the company's ERP system.
I started out my professional career more than 15 years ago designing and developing lighting fixtures for Ardron-Mackie - an architectural lightning fixture manufacturer in Mississauga. There I developed fixtures for numerous high profile projects - Toronto University, YVR Airport, Toys-R-Us and Microsoft. I was also involved in re-engineering several standard products as well as CSA & UL testing of new fixtures.
