yeah, there were alot of different assignments in this experiential marketing powerhouse. in addition to the events, also lead the digital initiatives and built offering of boston office and clients. led creative on various accounts including cisco, citrix, and research in motion of blackberry fame.
originally starting as senior consultant and then manager, eventually became worldwide branding and creative lead for the IBM account, overseeing agency teams in the americas, asia-pacific, and emea in campaign development. direct report team of 16, and many more dotted-lines. led integration efforts with with corporate, ogilvy&mather, wunderman and other agency partners to develop and launch worldwide integrated campaigns.

left gpj for actually being 'in' the city and more digital work. was a very interesting place with some cool people, great projects (esp. loved in the internal branding opps). but alas they had some cuts as often happens in the boston office (at least that's what they told me).
we did some fab digital work for hp, circuit city, subway, and lunesta—but last in, first out—then back to gpj when they promised to let me build the digital team.

awesome place to start when i moved to the area. learned a ton. worked with some amazing people on advertising and branding, campaign sites, and designed/built the first site for the agency.
left with the apparently mis-guided notion that the whole interactive thing was going to be aces back then and wanted to do more of it. great idea heading into 2001.
