Design, especially Product Design, has always been a career path I have pursued due to the logical thinking, yet the creative skills, needed to carry out a successful project in a highly competitive sector.
I now have over 6 years in industry, most recently I spent a year in the US learning about the commercials aspects of product development and market/user insights.
My skills lie within user experience and user-centered design. Over the last two years, I have been developing as a system lead bringing together the technical aspects of a product and the needs of the user.
I have excellent visual and verbal communication using an array of tools. This includes the use of storyboards, Adobe software, CAD (NX, Solidworks, and Inventor) and of course the ability to be well informed and speak confidently, either in a client one to one, or to a room full of people.
here is no greater pleasure for me then to see a project launch knowing I've played a part. I think that one of my greatest assets is that even when a product is successful, I am always future scoping to how it can be continuously improved.
