Worked on an industry project with Bombardier Transportation to develop a proprietary device to be used with their monorail train in emergency situations. Our team was able to take an idea and drive it from its conception stage through its prototyping stage. I was responsible for the complete design of the device utilizing solidworks in order to ensure design for manufacturing and assembly. I was also responsible for managing suppliers to ensure the prototype could be delivered on time, within budget, and within scope.

Makerspace Director/Co-founder

Co-founded Canada's first on-campus makerspace at Queen's university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Currently the director of the makerspace, and am driving change in education every step of the way.
• Motivated 4 university executive directors and to invest in the start-up of a Canada’s first on-campus Makerspace.
• Drove a bottoms-up approach to innovation within the university by collaborating with university executives and technicians in order to increase and expand faculty-wide access to $250,000 in resources and tools across campus for all students to use.
• Brought in over $30,000 dollars in revenue from generous alumni and industry sponsors.
• Expanded the workshop form a 50 sq. ft. facility to a 1000 sq. ft. facility. Utilizing 5S methodology, I set-up the workshop to ensure maximum efficiency during utilization as well as procured new machines and equipment.
• Worked with start ups with product development by helping them manufacture prototypes using laser cutters, 3D printers, and CNC machines.

Daimler North East Asia Commercial Vehicles After-Sales Service Operation Intern

Traveled to Beijing, China as part of the Cansbridge Capital Asia Internship Program to work for Daimler.
• Responsible for collecting Key Performance Indicators for the Mercedes-Benz 2020 after-sales strategy report, which involved finding and analyzing information regarding the after-sales truck market in China.
• Developed a solution to the company’s after-sales field service process, which allowed them to improve efficiency in data management, increase client satisfaction as well as maintain the company’s budget.

• Highly regarded team placing 7th overall in the 2011-2012 season.
• Designed and manufactured carbon fiber body panels for the vehicle, which required knowledge in material selection, mold making for mass production, CAD design, and Carbon fiber/ plastic part manufacturing.
• Using CosmosWorksFEA package in SolidWorks, I optimized components through mass reduction and increased durability and reliability in the drivetrain subsystem.
• Experience programming and operating CNC machines to produce aluminum and steel parts.
• Highly proficient in using Solidworks through this team with the ability to use the surfacing features, rendering, lofting, simulations, and complex assembly.
