- Responsible for the concept, design and production of multiple publications, primarily Traverse, Northern M/cn/gans Magazine and Northern /-/ome <55 Cottage. I was also responsible for overseeing the development and design of our annual publications such as My/\/ortn I/I/ec/c//ng, F//mgoer (for the Traverse City Film Festival), five versions of My/\/ortn \/acat/ont among many others special sections, publications and books. - Designed, implemented and ensured brand continuity of the current My \lorth logo and applied it to our many products and services such as My \lorth Media, My \lorth.com, My \lorth Tickets, Shop MyI\lorth, and My \lorth Community (see mynorth.com for examples). The My \lorth and "M & Arrow" logo was also applied to merchandise such as t-shirts, hats, mugs, and stickers that were sold and given away at events and trade shows. * Managed our staff photographer and co-managed a graphic designer within our art department. I worked with our photographer on concepts, scheduling, propping, model choices and location scouting. I attended and art directed many of the photoshoots, in particular, the cover shoots and many of the feature shoots. As the final selects were delivered, I photo edited from those and chose which images were to be used on the cover features and departments. I also hired freelance photographers for various editorial assignments.
