Robert Mansfield

I studied sustainable product design at UCA (previously Surrey Institute of Art and Design), shortly before joining Thinkable Studio - a small but fast growing design consultancy located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. In the 5 years at Thinkable I gained in-depth experience of industrial design for manufacture; primarily working on products for Motorola Solutions and their advanced data capture division (barcode scanners and mobile computers).

The small consultancy atmosphere let me play an integral part in the full design process, from ideation and sketching, to concept CAD and appearance models; accurate surfacing for manufacture and collaboration with engineering teams in New York, as well as creation of photo-realistic renderings for marketing materials. I've recently been taking on new challenges such as learning some programming with Action Script, dabbling with HTML/CSS, and experimenting with 3D animation.
