Robbie Powell

I've always known I wanted to engage in an occupation which enabled me to use my creativity and technical ability to bring ideas to life. The notion that a concept can be sculpted into a physical form fascinates me, working through the design process until a finished product is perfected.

I'm a current second year student student, studying a BSc (Hons) in Product Design at Bournemouth University. My strengths lie in my concept development, prototyping and computer aided design skills which enable me to creatively tackle a problem in order to create an innovative solution. Being part of the universities design society, I've learnt to effectively work as part of a team on a variety of live projects.

Work experience at Rolls Royce has given me a chance to see how a brief is handled in a commercial environment, getting to meet the people who deal with clients as well as the designers who create solutions to a customer’s individual needs.
