Maggie's is a cancer care charity providing help and and emotional support, through councilling, classes and group talks in order to give assistance to those effected by cancer.
They have a number of centres throughout the country and believe that their architecture plays a key part in making someone feel welcome and comfortable.
The brief for this project was to create a piece of architecture that reflects their ethos, making users of the site feel home when visiting. The building has strict functional requirements and has to be able to cater to all, regardless of their physical state.
The sound of water played a key part in the inspiration for this project as i tried to mix natural and artificial landscapes together. This is a model of my final design
