My passion is to use design to benefit those who really need it in communities around the world. Having lived in Egypt for over 3 years, I love engaging people of other cultures. Architectural design is a wonderful avenue to interact with, learn from and benefit all types of people!
My architectural experience includes using Revit in both professional and academic settings. I learned to use Revit while working with Design Development Architects. Though I had become adept in AutoCAD and Sketch-up, I pushed myself to learn Revit further my final semester of design school.
Since graduating, I have been working with my church on NC State’s campus to mentor students, and I have volunteered my design skills for posters, flyers and other publications graphics. Similarly, the last two summers I have been in the Dominican Republic on missions trips to meet, teach and train students at the largest university there. I have also been pursuing photography and will be second shooter for a wedding this May. These have been wonderful outlets for my passion to engage people of diverse backgrounds and serve others through design. I cannot wait to apply my passion and talent by working as Intern Architect!
