Nickelodeon Experience Design Senior Art Director * Dream Island -Moscow Russia oversaw design and on site construction of A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Immersive theme Park Land Including an indoor launch coaster attraction that takes guests on a high speed adventure thru the sewer underworld of NYC. Two additional attractions and a Ninja training experience along with themed retail and dining. * Nickelodeon Universe -Mall of China - New theme park currently under construction * Nickelodeon Adventure Family entertainment centers Mercia Spain- Designed a Paw Patrol themed land at Movie Park Germany * Designed a Nickelodeon IP land expansion for Parques Reunidos Theme park in Madrid Spain. * ICE LAND at Moody Gardens TX featuring Sponge Bob Square Pants- (for the 2014 and 2015 Christmas Holiday seasons) 900 tons of colored Ice within 17,000 square feet of show space that has been chilled to 9 degrees along with, Sponge Bob and fifty of his closest Bikini Bottom friends are throwing Christmas Party and you are invited! Designed & Directed creative aspects of the entire production for both years including concept master plan and laid out the entire space in (cadd). Supervised the production team, which consisted of the 3-D modeling effort and drawing package along with overseeing the character art design and development via Sponge Bob- IP licensed artist. Rex Developed creative concepts and translated strategic direction into viable new products for several successful resort and entertainment venues. Generated new project development ideas and provided design direction while working with vendors, architecture, engineering and construction teams to solve design and production problems in the field throughout the construction phase of the project. Designed and developed area master plans, interior & exterior drawing packages, and floor plans using AutoCAD. Designed elevations and working plans while integrating technical aspects of film projection, special effects, and themed features. Supervised vendors, reviewed construction of props and oversaw proper installation of same. Worked with estimators to evaluate and reduce costs, revise designs and provide solutions as needed in accordance with budgetary guidelines. Selected and integrated lighting, audio, and special effects as well as determined color palate and materials selection to include fixtures, finishes and furniture. Interface with mechanical and electrical engineers in the placement of HVAC, and fire and safety equipment, and ensure compliance with ADA guidelines. * * 2003 - Rex Conceptually designed and developed a new groundbreaking ride system for Universal. This new ride would place four guests in seats atop an articulated KUKA automotive "robocoaster" robot arm. This new multi axis platform would travel on a track that would allow for a smooth freedom of movement and controlled experience integration of projections, practical sets and effects. The original attraction's Intellectual Property (IP) changed and for a while the project was cancelled and the idea was shelved as the company was in the process of being bought and sold.
