The Dress I Made

It all started when my frustration with fast fashion, the urge to do something about it and my love for clothing and textiles came together in an idea. Or rather a challenging project. For one whole year (2012) I would only wear clothing of my own design made by myself. The resulting collection reflects my design philosophy of pure and simple lines with special details, but is also an exploration of my practical needs and aesthetic vision at each moment.

I kept a blog about the proces, titled 'The Dress I Made'. At its peak, the blog attracted around 30.000 unique visitors per week. After a year, I ended the project with a celebration in style: a clothing swap party for readers of the blog.
