I was born in a region with an extreme wealth of cultures, colors, sounds and smells. From an early age I have been stimulated to see this world as rare. While growing up, I travelled to many states within my native country of Brazil as well as other countries in Latin America, Europe and the United States, where now I live. The blend of cultures and patterns led me to see and feel messages observing people, forms, organizations, silence and sounds. This had all influenced me to study architecture, but only with my master’s degree in fashion I felt myself as a complete designer, and now I am capable of imagining and materializing anything from a city to a garment, from a building to an accessory, crossing scale boundaries.
Fashion does not live in isolation. The convergence of design thinking from my background into an industry that is fusion enables me to create objects that convey messages and sensations and also awake feelings that can contribute to transforming people and the world around them into a better place. I have a cultural appreciation for the process of producing well-designed clothing and other products. Influenced by my fashion designer mother and her evening and wedding gown business success in my hometown I had an early liking for couture.
