Graduated from the College of Architecture (IET Bhaddal) and a post graduate degree in landscape studies from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, issues related to the environment and sustainability have always been the core of my design attitude. My evolution as an architect up to the point of educational experience was normal in the absolute sense of the world. After obtaining my first academic degree, I opted for a two week long course at Earth Institute in Auroville, an utopian city, in Tamil Nadu. Being in Auroville, I explored almost all forms of design, ranging from architecture, interior design and landscape to graphics. However, landscape design has always been my calling. Masters in landscape architecture further helped me hone my architectural skills. Challenging myself to create spaces that respond to the users for whom it is designed and at the same time are attuned to the local ecological processes have provided a tremendous boost to my architectural thinking. However, I have not remained contended on this thinking, and is always learning for refinement and additions.
