Establish illustrative requirements to meet communications objectives; Prepare submission schedules for various communications products e.g. periodicals, posters, newsletters, brochures and other material;
Conceptualize ideas, concepts and designs and coordinate the creation of multifaceted communication for materials in print, and other mediums for a variety of informational, branding, and promotional projects;
Independently undertake design assignments, including high priority requests, for a variety of UN-sponsored activities (e.g. major conferences, events, campaigns, etc.);
In consultation with relevant staff and units assist in planning the design, layout and production; assist in providing technical support for the design and layout of individual pages of various communications products using relevant desktop publishing tools;
Assist in the layout and preparation of information materials, including production of electronically published products in consultation with unit heads and other relevant staff;
Design templates for new publications and products in line with graphic guidelines and in close cooperation with the author/project manager;
Archive and update UNEP photographs and ensure credited stored;
Perform other related work as required.
