Director of Product Design. Spearheaded the design and development of new track, linear fluorescent, under cabinet and outdoor LED lighting fixtures, low voltage track systems, and emergency lighting and exit products. Championed progressive aesthetic and mechanical design schemes that significantly enhanced the personality and reputation of the company as a design leader in the lighting industry. Numerous patented lighting products have become timeless staples for national accounts such as Crate&Barrel, Starbucks, Forever 21, The Container Store, Whole Foods and many others. Lead designer on three award-winning LED outdoor lighting products. Products sold through both electrical distribution and Home Depot and Lowe’s DIY channels. Designed and implemented numerous portable sample kits, showroom POP displays and sales meeting venues. Provided complex rigging, styling and troubleshooting at numerous photo shoots. Wrote and art directed the illustration of dozens of instruction sheets. Conducted patent process by identifying prior art, providing drawings, photographs and written outline to patent attorneys to reduce fees, improve accuracy, and speed time to application. Named in 26 design and utility patents.
